March for LifeEach year Dayton Right to Life sponsors groups to attend the March for Life in Washington D.C. This annual March marks the anniversary of the Roe vs Wade United States Supreme Court decision on January 22, 1973. We encourage schools, churches, and community groups to participate in the March and attend the other pro-life activities in our nation’s capital. Dayton Right to Life typically has 3-4 buses with over 150 attendees.

Protesting Planned ParenthoodDayton Right to Life Society coordinates with other groups to promote awareness and bring local attention to the nation's largest abortion provider. The Planned Parenthood facility in Dayton does not perform surgical abortions, but does receive public funds from Montgomery County. For more information on Planned Parenthood's unsavory history and tactics, read here. To learn more about corporate sponsors of Planned Parenthood on "The Boycott List", read here.

Protesting Wright State PhysiciansAbortion is currently possible in Dayton only because of the active support provided by the Wright State Physicians to local abortionist Martin Haskell. Local hospitals have steadfastly refused to enter into a written transfer agreement with Haskell's abortion clinic, as required by Ohio law. However, a series of "emergency back-up" agreements between Haskell and Wright State Physicians has allowed his abortion clinic to remain open. For details on this relationship, read here. Dayton Right to Life Society, along with other local activists, continues to protest the action by Wright State Physicians, by mail campaigns, sidewalk campaigns, and other means.

National Day of Remembrance for Aborted ChildrenDayton's historic Woodland Cemetery is one of only two gravesites in Ohio, and only 47 in the United States, where the remains of aborted babies are buried. There, Dayton Right to Life Society maintains two gravesites where a total of seven aborted infants are buried. Each year in September we host a community memorial service to mourn these children and remember all the victims of abortion. Access The National Day of Remembrance website here. See a map of the main gravesite at Woodland Cemetery. Our Woodland gravesites are also the location for community Roe v. Wade events each January.
