Congratulations Rachel Wiseman!
Winner of the Life Resource Centre’s Oratory Contest
Rachel’s speech focused on the stem cell controversy. Her opening statement told the judges of her passion, “Today, I am here on a mission. I am on a mission to save the lives of innocent babies. These babies’ lives are being prematurely ended, solely for medical research. This is called Embryonic Stem Cell Research.”
Rachel was excited to attempt a speech after winning first place in the Shelby County Essay Contest during her junior year. Rachel, the daughter of Rick and Paula Wiseman, has been homeschooled since fifth grade. Rachel is President of her 4-H Club, involved in CYO sports, a member of Teens for Truth, attends Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and holds down a full-time job at Primary Eyecare in Sidney. Her goal is to become a Licensed Optician.
Rachel had a positive experience presenting her speech in Columbus. “I had a great time at the State Competition, and, although I did not place, that's okay with me because I met some really nice people and really learned a lot about the abortion issue.”
Rachel is a true champion for LIFE. We commend her efforts and hope her speech will inspire others to STAND UP AND SPEAK FOR LIFE!
