Donate Your Car!
You may choose to support us by donating your vehicle to The Greater Dayton Prolife Education Foundation. We will provide you with a written acknowledgement of the donation, including the information to claim the charitable contribution on your tax return. Please note that IRS requirements for car donations changed for gifts made after 2004. If the car's value exceeds $500, you may only deduct the amount that we receive upon the resale of the car. 2011 Ride for Life
This new annual event involves the whole family! Whether a novice or advanced cyclist, there are three goals for this event:
-
Increase the awareness of the Pro-life movement in our communities today in a healthy and proactive manner
-
Raise funds for the support of the Dayton Right To Life mission
-
Promote life, family and good health practices with in-kind support, activities and networking throughout our communities.
Our 2010 Ride For Life was a huge success with 89 riders and over 150 volunteers. Nearly $10,000 was realized with more donations and pledges still coming in. A festive time was had by all - riders and volunteers - at the Celebration of Life following the Ride. Pizza (LaRosa's), musicians (Rick Fannin and Richie Terbush) and Pete Luongo with his very inspiring thoughts, gave everyone the opportunity to truly enjoy themselves while promoting life, family and good health.
In addition, Bill and Melody from WFCJ on Saturday (also honorary riders) and Tommy Collins from WHIO on Sunday certainly pleased everyone as emcees, ensuring that over $6,000 in door prizes and raffles found new homes.
Rider evaluations, 47 in number out of the 89, indicated everyone (with the one exception of "maybe") will consider returning for our second annual Ride For Life.
Many sincere Thank Yous to all the riders, volunteers (including our youth from the six high schools), families and staff!

Formal College Internship Program
We are able to offer a priceless experience to interns with an interest in various backgrounds including law, social work, accounting, marketing, promotions, sponsorship …. We also believe that our interns are an integral part of our office team. We offer them the responsibility of office coordination, delegation of tasks, project management, and ability to think creatively in a nonprofit setting where resources are often limited. In return we ask that the interns share their enthusiasm, energy, and ideas with us to improve our effectiveness and efficiency. This shared project must benefit both parties. The internship is a three-month position that can be renewable. To apply, please send a cover letter and resume to info@daytonlife.org
