Meet Stephany. Stephany was a Notre Dame intern with us this summer. Young people are stepping up and we are here to train our young leaders in the pro-life movement. Since the inception of our college intern program two years ago, we have had 23 interns! Whether their field of study is social work, psychology, political science, religion or another area, they have a great learning experience with us.

Meet Tastee Williams and her daughter Miracle, one of our 2011 Yox Scholarship winners! Over $33,000 in college scholarships have been given to 31 young women who chose life and dream of pursuing a college degree. Tastee states, “I would like to provide a life of nurturing and success for my daughter who is my miracle and saving grace.” Tastee is attending Sinclair Community College and studying Pre-Healthcare Information Management. 
Did you know a woman can be hurt by an abortion? Physical, as well as emotional injuries are not uncommon. Protection of women's health, as well as the life of the child, is a critical facet of our difficult work. We have been involved with three abortion clinic closings, with one left in Montgomery County. We report injuries and suspect clinic behavior to the Ohio Department of Health and the State Medical Board. In 2008, we reported a violation to the Ohio Department of Health, and the facility was ordered to be temporarily closed. 
Inspired by the request of our young people, each year we provide leadership training for our students who want to defend their Christian pro-life values and morals. Over 100 youth attend every year! Viva la Vita is our largest fund-raising event!
The event for 2011 will be Friday, September 9 at Far Hills Community Church in Centerville. Join us to hear Abby Johnson, former Planned Parenthood Employee of the Year and author of unPLANNED, as she shares her story of transformation from dark to light. She will enlighten us with her journey to become a pro-life advocate, revealing the truths she learned while working for the nation's largest abortion business. This is sure to be an eye-opening evening with Dayton Right to Life.

From Darkness to Light… Attend this year’s Viva la Vita, A Journey from Darkness to Light and hear the voice of truth from former Planned Parenthood Director, Abby Johnson. There are many times in our life where God reveals His plan for us, but often we experience dark times along the way. As she wrote in her book, UnPLANNED, “God is in the business of changing hearts and minds and using ordinary people for His extraordinary purposes.” This is true for each and every one of us.
Our staff is a witness to this transformation when they hear the stories from crises pregnancy centers across the country who are using our most popular literature, Just the Facts and The Question brochures, to help educate women, just like those served at Abby’s Planned Parenthood Center, on the facts of abortion.
The Stork’s Nest Baby Pantry volunteer team also assists families who have experienced a momentary darkness through the loss of a job or difficulties making ends meet and offer them the needed items for the children to get through another day. Our pantry has seen a significant increase in visits over the last year and your donation of gently used clothing sizes 0-6 is always welcomed! Other ongoing needs include Similac formula (blue label), diapers, and wipes. At Viva la Vita, you will have the opportunity to take a leaf from our Tree of Life and contribute to a material or volunteer need for our organization.
Because of your support, we are able to reach 15% of the pregnant teens in Montgomery County with educational classes and support, including free transportation for our clients to and from the classes!
After receiving a fetal development presentation from our Abstinence Resource Centre, a female student wrote on her evaluation, "I'm going to wait until marriage but I'm excited because of how cool the baby is!" Presentations are available for both private and public schools in the Greater Dayton area.
